The stratum corneum (SC) is the outermost layer of the skin and the interface with the outside world. Evolution has created a living barrier that prevents unwanted materials from entering and excessive loss of water. It’s why we can handle exposure to pollutants and not look like raisins at the same time. Enter a technology that we are evaluating in the lab that allows for the needle free delivery of a variety of topicals. One minute post treatment shows important changes to the SC (red triangles). After about 15 minutes the SC recovers to close to PRE treatment morphology. These images are from my scalp. We are open to collaboration with others that share our ethos of advancing the science to help physicians and their patients. No BS. #dermatology #exosomes
